Why Choose me

Discover Yoga’s Physical, Emotional & Spiritual Benefits

The word “yoga” means “union” and refers to the spiritual union between the mind and the body. By controlling the breath and holding the body in steady poses or “asanas”, yoga creates harmony within the body. By linking breath with movement, yoga strengthens the mind-body connection.

Yoga & Pilates Instructor

Hello I’m Emma and I’m a qualified yoga and Pilates teacher. I am also a qualified Thai yoga massage therapist, exercise to music instructor and primary school teacher.

I have been practicing yoga for over twenty years and qualified as a yoga teacher in 2009. Having always been interested in exercise and looking after myself, when I heard about yoga, I was intrigued to give it a go.

Very quickly, I realized that yoga offered so much more than ‘exercise’. I was drawn to the effect it had on my mind, I particularly liked the relaxation at the end.

Coming away from the class I would feel more content and at ease both mentally and physically; this was something special!

“I really enjoy attending Emma’s classes. She is extremely knowledgeable and the classes are well-planned with a range of stretches and strength-building movements. Emma is quick to get to know the members in the class with their individual needs and requirements. I would not hesitate to recommend her, we have fun but work hard and I am pleased with the progress I have made.” Joanna Love

“I have been taking lessons in Pilates with Emma for nearly 4 years and Yoga for the last six months.  My flexibility and core strength has improved immensely since taking these classes  She takes great care to ensure her pupils perform the exercises and poses correctly and offers an alternative exercise if it is unsuitable to some pupils. There is always a short relaxation at the end of the classes to wind down which is very much appreciated.  I would highly recommend her.” Susan Tanswell
