Yoga In Schools
Yoga can benefit children of all ages, helping them to become flexible, strong and supple from a young age.
Introduction
There is opportunity for many children to trial many different sports within their school setting from football, rugby, netball to cricket and everything in between. Very often however, children do not always get the chance to experience yoga and it is my mission to help change that.
I have been teaching yoga for over 20 years. I am also a qualified primary school teacher having spent 8 years in mainstream education and 2 years teaching children with dyslexia. So if you are looking to bring yoga into the school regularly or as a one off wellbeing event, I would love to hear from you. I am registered with the update service and possess an enhanced DBS certificate.
Benefits of Yoga for Children
There are many benefits to learning yoga and with children it is no different, below we summarise what some of those are:
- Helps to build strength, flexibility and balance.
- Encourages relaxation
- Can help you sleep better,
- Can help to calm the mind, meaning you have more energy.
- Can help your child if they are worried or anxious about school or exams
